Wait days

Add a wait day

To add a wait day, turn on 'Apply wait day' when you add a sickness to an employee profile of someone with a fixed contract. If they have a lot of overtime hours saved up, you could consider lowering the risk of having to pay that out when they leave by compensating the wait day with their overtime balance.

Remove a wait day

You can remove a wait day by editing an existing sickness and putting 'Apply wait day' to No.

Adjust a wait day on an old payslip

Is you want to remove or add a wait day to a payslip, go to the profile of an employee, edit their sickness in the period you want to add or remove the wait day, there you can turn on/off the wait day that has been previously applied. A correction payslip will show up in Pay automatically.

If the correction is a negative amount, meaning you need to get money back from the employee, we recommend to wait with batching it and batch it in the upcoming month, where you'll find a regular payslip for that employee. This way the negative amount will be deducted from their next salary and you don't have to beg them to get your money back.
