My overtime balance in the app goes down on days I don't work

Wondering why your overtime balance in the Soigné app went down on a day you didn't work? This article explains why.

You can see your overtime balance in the Soigné app on your homepage.

Are you wondering why the balance goes down on days you don't work? This is how it works:

  • The overtime balance updates every day.

  • When you are supposed to work 38 hours in a week, you are supposed to work 5,43 hours per day if you would work 7 days a week (38 hours divided by 7 days).

  • Each day of the week that you don't work your overtime will go down by those 5,43 hours

  • On days you do work your overtime will go up by whatever you worked more than 5,43 hours that day. If you worked 11 hours on that day, your overtime will go up by 5,57 hours (11 hours minus 5,43 hours).

  • Since Horeca work isn't a 9 to 5, 5 days a week job, this is the most fair method to calculate this. The balance on every Sunday is therefor the most correct one, as on Sunday we know 100% sure what you have worked that week.
