When making rosters, it's not just coverage you're looking for. You also want your schedule to perform. Wage cost % and productivity are the two KPIs to get clear. As Soigné processes your payslips, there's no more guesswork with an estimated factor on wages. It knows your employer costs down to the cent. With revenue next to it, you can steer on wage cost % and productivity with confidence.
Connect your POS
Start with connecting your POS. Every system has it's own process to follow. Check the instructions for Tebi, unTill, and Nappkin. More POS integrations are coming, and we're open to connect via our public API.
All revenue shown in Soigné is net revenue, so exluding VAT.
Freelancers hourly rate
Before you start, make sure the hourly rate of your freelancers is filled in. Otherwise your results will get skewed. Go to People and scroll down to find your freelancers.
Wage cost % and productivity
As you build your schedule, Soigné calculates your wage cost % and productivity KPIs in real time. This way, you know before you publish whether you're within target, not after the shift is done.
Wage cost % shows what share of your revenue goes to labour. If you made €5,000 on Friday and paid €1,100 in wages, your wage cost % was 22%. It's the clearest single indicator of whether your roster was sized right for the day.
Productivity measures how much revenue was generated per hour worked. If your team worked 60 hours on Saturday and brought in €6,000, your productivity was €100 per hour. It tells you not just what things cost, but what your team produced.
Setting targets
You can set your wage cost % and productivity targets in Scenarios. Go to Settings > [choose location] > Scenarios. Here you can set a target per scenario for all weekdays. You can't always control your revenue, so for a quiet Monday you want to steer on different numbers than busy Fridays.
Revenue forecasts
Add a revenue forecast in Scheduling by clicking on the health score icon.
With a forecast in place, you always know what you're working towards. We support manual entry and automation via our public API. So if you're already generating forecasts externally, in a spreadsheet, ChatGPT, or Claude, we can pull that in automatically for you.
Make sure to add net revenue forecasts, so excluding VAT.
Creating schedules
When your create a roster, Soigné shows you in real time whether your (draft) roster is on target, at risk, or off track. We define this as:
🟢 On track: both KPIs at or above your target
🟠 At risk: one or both KPIs are 5% or less off target.
🔴 Burner: both KPIs are 5% off target
For example, when wage cost % is set at 30% and your operating at 31,4%, your KPI is at risk. When your operating at 31,6% you are off track.
Wage cost % and productivity move together. The two metrics together tell a more complete story than either alone: a high wage cost % on a high-productivity day is a very different situation (expensive but busy) than the same percentage on a quiet day with a full team on the floor (expensive but busy) . Soigné shows both so you can see the full picture at a glance and steer accordingly.
Health score is the results of wage cost % and productivity together. When KPIs are not both on target, at risk or off track, we show the most negative color. In the xample above Wednesday was at risk for wage cost % and on track for productivity, so we show at risk as a result of both.
Tracking per hour
Keep track while you're off the floor? The Soigné app now shows revenue and wage costs in real time per hour. When you open the app, you see today in real time and your projections for the next three days. After all, better to be proactive than reactive.
